Varosa Valley

With its unique characteristics, the Varosa Valley is marked by the presence of the Cistercian Order, with the unmissable Monasteries of São João de Tarouca, Santa Maria de Salzedas and Ponte Fortificada de Ucanha, but also vestiges of the Roman presence and Mozarabic architecture in the Chapel of São Pedro de Balsemão, and the 16th century paintings attributed to the so-called “Masters of Ferreirim” in the Convent of Santo António de Ferreirim. Don’t miss it!
