Researcher and professor of medicine, Abel Salazar, whose name is immortalised in the Abel Salazar Biomedical Sciences Institute (Porto), was also a painter, writer, philosopher and sculptor. The Abade de Baçal Museum has a significant set of works by the artist, where the feminine has a great presence, as is the case of the painting “Boulevard Girl”.
