REVISTA MONUMENTOS Nº32(BRAGANÇA)

A riqueza histórica, arquitetónica e cultural de uma das mais emblemáticas cidades do nordeste português, Bragança, está em destaque no número 32, da revista Monumentos.

Os artigos convidam a conhecer a evolução urbana da cidade, desde a Idade Média até aos nossos dias, explorando o papel da fortaleza, da casa ducal, das instituições religiosas e das transformações urbanísticas que moldaram a identidade brigantina.

A revista aborda temas tão variados como a arquitetura militar da fronteira nordeste, a arte e religiosidade presentes nos monumentos da região, ou o património vernacular transmontano. Destacam-se ainda reflexões sobre o Museu do Abade de Baçal, a Sé de Bragança, a Pousada de São Bartolomeu e o legado cultural de figuras marcantes ligadas à cidade.

Completam a publicação artigos dedicados a outros temas patrimoniais, incluindo a preservação das roças de São Tomé e Príncipe e a conservação do património português.

The historical, architectural and cultural richness of one of the most emblematic cities in northeastern Portugal, Bragança, is highlighted in issue 32 of *Monumentos*. The articles invite the reader to explore the city’s urban evolution from the Middle Ages to the present day, examining the role of the fortress, the ducal house, religious institutions and the urban transformations that shaped Bragança’s identity. The journal addresses topics as varied as the military architecture of the northeastern border, the art and religiosity present in the region’s monuments, and the traditional heritage of Trás-os-Montes. Also noteworthy are reflections on the Abbot of Baçal Museum, Bragança Cathedral, the São Bartolomeu Inn and the cultural legacy of prominent figures associated with the city. The publication is completed by articles devoted to other heritage topics, including the preservation of the “roças” of São Tomé and Príncipe and the conservation of Portuguese heritage.
